Photography workshop

Posted by: | August 9, 2012 | 26 Comments |

On Thursday the second of August Team Waldock had the great opportunity to have a go at a photography workshop.

Rachel was our teacher and she taught us how to take fantastic photos. She told us to make sure we look around the edges of the photo to so we don’t  get any unwanted things in the photo. We learnt about the three thirds rule of taking a picture. The three thirds rule means that you have to have an interesting thing in each third of the photo.

We went outside and took some terriffic pictures!

Here are some of our best ones.

Thanks for visiting our blog!

    Hi Mrs Waldock and class,
I wasn’t here for the photography workshop. It looks like you had fun. I love all the photos you got. They all look so alive and the angle you got it is great. My favorite photo from those above are the crab one. Because the crab is just walking on green grass alone and it looks cool.

    Hi Team Waldock

I like the crab picture the best because it looks like it is fighting in a show. I also like the photograph of the swimming birds because they look like they are diving in the water. I have taken some photographs but yours are better.

    Hello Miss Waldock and class
Your pictures were great and very clear. What sort of camera did you use and how did you get so close to the crab?

    Wow! Great pictures!
I noticed that they are very clear and focused on the subjects that you wanted to capture. Also, the zoom on some of the photos is incredible. Wonderful macrophotography! Looks like you had a good teacher.

      Hi Mrs Sanderson
      Thanks for the comment.
For the good zoom we used the macro button which looks like a flower as you probably alredy know.
      Do you do photography sometimes?

    G’day Aisy and Emi,

Wow such great shots. Did you have to get down close to the object like the crab, or did you use a zoom lens?

You might need to start a class blog with a photo each day. Mrs Yollis in California has one for her students and they add photos to it every day. http://yollis365project.blogspot.com.au/

    Hi Team Waldock

A photography workshop sounds like a fantastic thing to be able to participate in and this sampling of your photographs looks great. I particularly like the one of the crab. I imagine it would have been difficult to keep the crab from running away. The uplifted claw looks quite threatening.

Some of the budding photographers in your class might like to take a look at this website called Digital Photography School
